New week, new contests! But this time I just have one contest for you, as we're having the Chotopia Music Video Contest still running. Make sure to show us your talent from Monday, August 17th to Sunday, August 23rd at our mini-game Racer!

Journalist Program for August

We are accepting submissions of blogs from today to Sunday, the 30th of August. This gives you about 2 weeks to enter your blog. The August Journalists will be announced a few short days later.

I will keep this short and snappy:

To quality for Journalism, you will need to follow the guidelines listed below:

• Your blog must be updated a minimum of 2 times every 2 weeks (1 weekly post). 
• Your posts must be written by yourself, not taken directly from the Official Chotopia Blog or anyone else's Chotopia blog(s).
• You have permission to use Chotopia Blog's pictures regarding events, recaps, and contests, but we encourage you to get creative and use your own work. This will make your blog even more distinctive, unique and interesting.
• The blog MUST relate to Chotopia. 

At this point you may be wondering, what are the benefits of Journalism? Let me lay it out for you:

• An updated Journalist Badge on your playercard
•      Become an Elite Journalist by being a Journalist for a minimum of 3 consecutive months. The period of consecutive journalism will be 3-5 months, depending on the standard of your blog.
•     There will only be 1 Elite Journalist.
• An exclusive Journalist-only Playercard
• A Purple Journalist name tag
• A Journalist feather hand-item
• One week of free citizenship at the beginning of each month
• The ability to PC Moderators even if they are blocked
• Your blog will be listed on the Official Chotopia Blog
• You will be invited to write one Official Blog Post 
• The ability to have your own contests on your blog with their own prizes!

We once again have an exciting new update for you all! Although we just had an update, we have plenty more to share with all of you! Everything can be found here:

Website Updates

• Market has been removed
• Be sure to go to https://chotopia.us/market/financial to transfer your bugs to your account!
• To see if you have any items still in the market, go to:
  https://chotopia.us/market/myAuctions
• If you have any items, send a support ticket and we will transfer your items back to your account

In-game Updates

• Achievements have been updated with an all new design!
• Beach has been recolored as well as received new beach furniture
• Agents HQ has been updated
• Bank has received a new dialog (citizen only)
• Dashboard has received a new dialog
• Daily Challenges coming soon!
• Recycling Bin has been made smaller as well as Market Bin has been removed
• New Storage system which can be found through your wardrobe in place of the Market Bin
• The Pet Creator has been updated! (More updates to Pets will be coming soon)
• More paintball colors have been added to paint the trees around Chotopia!

Maxwell's 1000th Birthday!

Happy Hump-Day!
I hope that today has treated all of you well. I am happy to announce that from now on, in addition to Novo, Anna and Shadow– I will also be regularly stopping by on the blog to share news, events and various information with you.
With that said, I would formally like to invite the community to login Sunday, and join me in celebrating my big day!

"What big day?", might you ask. Well, if you couldn't tell from the title, it'll be my 1000th day birthday!
I can't believe that my account has almost been around for ONE THOUSAND days! I couldn't imagine spending the day celebrating the sentimentality, fun, and growth that this game has brought myself and many throughout the years.

It's quite amazing to put it all into perspective. 

Cake Face!

The event will begin at 4pm CT* and run until 8pm CT. I will be hosting special contests, playing games of hide and seek, making memories and much much more! If you plan to attend, expect to get rare items, play fun games, listen to good music and have a good time with your online peers. 

There will also be a formal party with rain, magic and music. I will share the specific time of the party during the event. 

I hope to see many of you there, and if you can't make it– just know many of us will seriously miss you.
