Let's Get Creative!

Good afternoon all, and HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! 
Only two more days until Friday, I can't wait! In yesterday's post, I mentioned an upcoming contest that Chotopian's have the chance to participate in.

Annikan and I were brainstorming ideas for the contest awhile back, and we came to the conclusion that it's time for everyone to express their creative side. Just about everyone loves adding an item of art to their collection, and also loves embracing a game that has brought them smiles for years.

This contest is simple, but also unique to players as it allows you to expand on creativity outside of Chotopia, and in the end, gives you a tangible piece of artwork to hold on to forever (or throw away after, but that’s not cool!)

Many Chotopian’s have played the three main versions of Chobots, and plenty of us have a collection of memories found throughout the internet. These memories speak volumes of how much we’ve come to love this game. But not many of us have much to remember it by outside of the internet, and if for some horrible reason the internet were to ever disappear... wouldn't you want to be able remember a game you once loved? 

Your goal in this contest is to create a multimedia piece of art representing AT LEAST two of the following Chotopian themes.
Themes 

• Favorite in-game location
• Your pet
• Your player
• NPCs: Chopix, Santa, Samantha, Choproff, SnailChob etc.
• Favorite Clothes I.e. flame wings, boots, etc.
• Color Trees
• A fellow Chotopian
• A moderator
• Minigames
• Daisy
• Your house in-game

Any materials can be used in order to create your artwork, but if you’re having trouble thinking of what media to use—here is a small list that comes to mind

Magic markers, construction paper, glue, colored pencils, crayons, scissors, printer paper, graphite pencils, charcoal, blending stumps, tortillons – and whatever else your heart desires!

Prizes
This contest is open ended, so run in any direction you see fit. BUT-- all entries MUST include AT LEAST TWO of the themes provided above.

ALL player-entries that are received will automatically award players with one month free citizenship, 25,000 bugs and ANY item they wish for (given they meet the requirements and are symbols of your creativity!)

In addition to all players who participate, a panel of judges from the community will be selected to vote on their favorite to distinguish who will be Chotopia’s Artist of the Month! The artist of the month will receive ONE YEAR of free citizenship, and ONE MILLION bugs for being the first. The program isn't 100% complete, but the artist of the month will essentially give users an opportunity to express themselves and be recognized on a community scale. More details to come!

Submitting Your Artwork
1) Upload and save a picture or scan to your computer
2) Find a free image hosting website, or click here for one 
3) Upload your picture from it's saved file location to the website
4) Drop the provided link in a comment, write the two elements you selected from the list and your username

If you're unable to submit your artwork via blogger, please email your entry to support@chotopia.us with your username, and the two elements you selected from the list. 

Submission Deadline: Thursday, March 15th 

We are all very excited to see what you are capable of creating, and to make it a little more fun, I'll attach my entry (excluded from judging, haha) to the top of this post once it's complete, so keep your eyes out!

Déjà Moo!

That's a wrap, and Daisy has been fed!
If you're unsure what I'm talking about, we have finished our competition for finding Daisy some dinner, and now it's time to announce our winners. Before that, I'd like to thank all who participated,  and to extend major congratulations to our first and second place winners for winning two competitions in a row! Congratulations Recker for again– wRecking the leaderboard, along with our fan favorite, Sylva for also putting up a strong fight! In addition to these two players, please welcome the spectacular Spongemika to the leaderboard with a strong score of 8665! I have a feeling you will get them next time Spongemika! Or will someone get you?

 All of our participants that made it onto the scoreboard will receive:

• Two days citizenship 
• The Cow Outfit 

Daisy has decided to award all of the top three winners with 14 days of citizenship, and 20,000 bugs.
In addition to Daisy's gifts, we also figured those who put in the extra effort to feed our friend... probably need a shower badly. Our top three winners will receive a shower board for their extended efforts, along with a PINK Daisy shirt for after the shower.
An out-of-game competition will be announced tomorrow! Prepare yourselves, and get out your markers and glue! *hint hint*
Unlike most competitions, the prizes will be announced PRIOR to the start!

A Crabby Daisy

 Howdy Utopians,
I hope your weekend treated you well, and that you're on your way back to a productive week, with tomorrow being Monday. I'm writing to you today to acknowledge our champions in our latest competition, Robofactory. Recker has seemed to have wRecked the competition board with a strong finishing score of 6006! Impressive. A community favorite and beloved player, Sylva came in second with a score of 1876. Finally, in third Iduta encountered a 504 error that paid off.
All players that made it on to the score board will be awarded 2 days citizenship.

• First place prize is: 14 days of citizenship, 10,000 bugs, a gold medal + a gold cup! +2 days bonus citizenship 
• Second Place: 7 days of citizenship, 7,500 bugs, silver medal + pink cat ears! +2 days bonus citizenship
• Third place: 5 days of citizenship, 5,000 bugs and a bronze medal. +2 days bonus citizenship. 

Make sure to congratulate our winners, and remember that all players on the board received two days of citizenship for just participating. 

Moving on, we are sad to say that Daisy hasn't been eating as much food lately, and we all need to pitch in to help her digest some more hay! So whoever feeds Daisy the most, fights off evil nichos, and keeps that farm making milk– will receive some pretty awesome prizes. I will see guys out there, and remember that a fair competition is the best competition.
Nichos will be ineligible for any and all prizes when it comes to cheating, so please keep that in mind.

Birthday Recap!

Well, that sure was a blast!
I want to thank all who logged in today to celebrate my birthday! It was an absolute BLAST and I'm beyond grateful for all of the birthday wishes.

We had a great time enjoying music, rain and exchanging gifts. All I can say there are some pretty wealthy players out there after today... Some of the rare items given were flame boots, overcoats, wings, newspapers, flame wings and more!

In addition to those prizes, everyone who attended today automatically received seven days of citizenship and 5,000 bugs! If for some reason that wasn't applied to your account, please comment below and we will get that fixed. 

A special thank you to 21supremesavage for staying throughout the duration of the party! Talk about dedication. Here are some highlights from the party!

Happy Hump-Day!
I hope that today has treated all of you well. I am happy to announce that from now on, in addition to Novo, Anna and Shadow– I will also be regularly stopping by on the blog to share news, events and various information with you.
With that said, I would formally like to invite the community to login Sunday, and join me in celebrating my big day!

"What big day?", might you ask. Well, if you couldn't tell from the title, it'll be my 1000th day birthday!
I can't believe that my account has almost been around for ONE THOUSAND days! I couldn't imagine spending the day celebrating the sentimentality, fun, and growth that this game has brought myself and many throughout the years.

It's quite amazing to put it all into perspective.

The event will begin at 4pm CT* and run until 8pm CT. I will be hosting special contests, playing games of hide and seek, making memories and much much more! If you plan to attend, expect to get rare items, play fun games, listen to good music and have a good time with your online peers. 

There will also be a formal party with rain, magic and music. I will share the specific time of the party during the event. 

I hope to see many of you there, and if you can't make it– just know many of us will seriously miss you.
