Party Recap & New Update

Hey friends!

In the first half of a two-part party, we celebrated friendship by enjoying discussion, magic, rain and music. If you missed it, mark your calendars because part two is in less than twelve hours.

With this is an announcement about the update you've all been waiting for:

The new Mansion room which comes with its very own luxury shop! This may be accessed through a portal inside the Cafe. But be aware, the bouncer will only grant entrance to citizen users. Here is a preview of what you may find:

In addition to this exclusive hangout, citizenship includes a bigger chat bubble, greater choice of clothing items, bonuses, shortcuts and access to features such as the graffiti wall and house expansions. Find out more here!

Spontaneous Updates

Hey friends!

New features have been implemented to improve gameplay. Have a look at the up to date change log:

Weekly Challenges: complete up to three challenges a week for different types of prizes. And for the competitive, the user with the most points per weekly challenge receives bonus prizes!

Daily Spin: the crown wedge rewards a cool, random item selected from a list instead of a re-spin.

Multiplier system of bugs and experience has been balanced to save the Chotopia Economy.

Choproff has just uncovered groundbreaking information under his PhD in Earth Sciences and Chotopian History, producing new topics and questions to quiz you on.

Robots Arena now has a competition board. We're going to keep this board open for a day, for testing purposes only!

Mural Contest Winners & Research Contest

Hey friends,

Throughout the past two weeks, many of Chotopia's quiet talents have showcased some amazing artistic abilities in the latest Mural Contest. While we were impressed by the variation across everyone's work, only a few Chobots could be prized.

Congratulations to Anna, Clayton and Tinker on earning the famous paintbrush item and a new wall to draw on. We loved the details, subjects and abstraction!

On this note, we're opening another out-game contest. We would like you to find out more about Summer in a research contest. Some thought provoking questions include: Is summer the same in all parts of the world? What special events take place? What are some scientific facts?

Guidelines:

•      Research and tell us about Summer - be concise; we don't mind if you bullet point. 
•      You must use the template provided -- any entry not using this format will not be judged.
•      Formatting matters: add-ins such as fun facts, eye-catching pictures, detailed notes, and over exceeding creativity/neatness will help boost your chance in being selected as the winner.
•      Please make sure you include factual content from credible sources (this is an informative contest). 
•      Please do not plagiarize your work. You will automatically be disqualified if you are caught.
•      Submit your entry on Discord's submissions-for-contests by providing an Imgur or Tinypic link. 
•      You have until August 7 to submit your best work!

P.S. Don't forget about the International Friendship Day Party that's scheduled for this weekend! Timezones have been added to help you organize your time.

Clothes Refresh & International Friendship Day Party

Hey friends,

Never go out of style this summer because the Shop has just been restocked with new, timeless, and old items of clothing! Old items are making a comeback as today's trendiest. Here is a preview:

And on the topic of exciting news, International Friendship Day is 30 July - we'll be throwing a celebration for this UN holiday the weekend just before. Here are the details:

The party will take place in two parts to accommodate everyone's busy schedules! If you're able to attend both parts, definitely do.

This is a really important event as we are very lucky to be a part of an extensive friendship network within Chotopia's community - one that is solidified by close bonds and ties of trust between each individual. What's more, on this day, we'll put aside our differences and reconcile in celebration of friendship as well as make new friends.

Sliders Results & New Updates

Hey friends,

After a highly competitive feat in Sliders against one another, three of you have demonstrated that you are unbeatable. Congratulations to Choppers, Bluewonder and Dolph:

•      1st place: 7 days of citizenship and 5,000 bugs
•      2nd place: 5 days of citizenship and 3,500 bugs
•      3rd place: 3 days of citizenship and 2,000 bugs 

In the meantime, the Sweet Battle contest has commenced and will run for two weeks.

You should also know that many exciting updates have been brought forth while some fixes were made. Here's the complete changelog:

•      "Coming soon" achievements have been revealed on the first four pages
•      The daily login counter is no longer limited to a reset after 50 days
•      New users wardrobe, level display view, login view, spin wheel and the Shop have experienced minor adjustments 
•      More items have been added to the Levels Shop
•      Issues from selling player card as it was equipped have been fixed
•      And finally, Chotopia can now be played in FULL SCREEN! Use it here or find it in the navigation bar

Chobots Mural Contest

Hey friends!

It's time to get creative because we're hosting a mural art challenge! This is an excellent chance to unlock the "earn a brush" achievement as well as the ability to draw at the Artists' Underground.

Please review these guidelines before entering:

•      Chotopia's Graffiti wall is the medium required. Your work can be a mural as in not literally letter graffiti
•      It may be anything - from Chobots related to abstract
•      You may only submit one entry
•      Creativity, style, shading and palette will be assessed
•      Please do not replicate or submit somebody else's work
•      Comment on this post providing either an imgur or tinypic link to your work. Make sure it's clearly signed

Past Chobots graffiti will be your greatest sources of inspiration, so definitely start there! Your last day to submit your artwork is July 23, which is only two weeks from now.
