Important Announcements (please read)

Hi friends!

It has been such a long time since I've spoken to you guys, and I have truly missed each and every single one of you! I have just returned after retiring months previously; however, I will now be working closely with Shadow, as well as with the rest of the team, to help improve and make Chotopia the best experience for you all. There are many announcements that need to be said though, so hopefully I will get to catch up with you all personally at a later time.

To start off with, we are now hiring. Our top priority as of currently is to make sure that we, the team, are working at full capacity without any dead weight. This being said, we are now looking at hiring 1-2 moderators who know that he or she would be willing and devoted to helping us make Chotopia great again! Before filling out the application, please make sure you read over any requirements to understand and meet all the criteria. If you are interested in applying for this position, click here.

We are also hiring a product tester, someone to test out new features for the upcoming mobile version of Chotopia, so don't hesitate to also fill out an application here, if interested. Again, before filling out the application, please make sure you read over any requirements to understand and meet all the criteria.

All applications will be reviewed thoroughly by myself and Shadow. Responses to applications are only sent when we are interested in possibly hiring you (this means that if you do not receive a reply back, it is because we feel that you do not meet the criteria). Also note that both applications require you to have an in-game account, so please make sure you have or make one!

Moving on to our next discussion, we will be having an Agent poll very soon!

Over the rest of this week, the staff and I will be on the lookout for users deserving of this title. Agents are recognized for being wonderful role models, assisting users and always finding a way to help create more fun within and out of the game. On this post, you may comment below and recommend up to two people who you think are worthy of receiving the agent badge. The two users who receive the highest amount of votes will be added to the Agent poll, which will have other users picked by staff members only.

We suggest that you do not pick your friends, but rather vote for someone who truly deserves this recognition. Also, recommending yourself is also not allowed, so don't attempt to as we will be checking!

We will be accepting all recommendations in the comments below until March 4th. Any votes afterwards will not be accounted for in tallying up the community's top picks.

Finally, we have a winner to announce for the Throwback Art Contest! After closely reviewing all applicants, it was noticeable that our community has some talented users; however, we could not grant all recipients rewards for their incredible artwork. So, without further ado, please congratulate the following winner...

You will receive 10 days of citizenship, a paintbrush, and a Valentine's jet pack. Magicman, who was the runner-up, will receive 5 days of citizenship and a paintbrush for creativity and uniqueness. Congratulations to you both, and enjoy your prizes!

February Air, Throwback Art Contest

Hey everyone!

It's been quite some time since the last blog post, and I'm sorry about that. The rest of the staff and I have been very preoccupied with events in our personal lives. Our developer Phil has been busy with designing something very special for your electronic devices! Keep your eyes peeled for further explanation when there'll be new information to put out about this surprise in its own blog post. Let's continue on with more enticing upcoming events!

Have you checked your calendars lately? Hopefully you've switched them to February. I know I always forget to switch my calendars until it's far more into the month. Hopefully you guys aren't as forgetful as I am! I'm excited to announce a new contest! Can you guess what the theme will be?

February 14th, depending on who you are, can be a very romantic, or lonely day. Some like to call Valentines Day "Single Awareness Day." Whether or not you're spending it alone, I have a task for you! This is going to be an art contest.

We're going to kick it off with a little throw back! Do you remember the original Chobots game, Chobots.com? I hope you do for the sake of this contest! If not, you can google it, there's plenty of pictures out there. For this contest, you will have to draw any of the old moderators (of your choice). The drawing has to be Valentines Day related, and contain appropriate themes. You can also chose to not draw an old Chobots moderator, but draw in the vintage style of the old Chobot look! Don't know what I'm talking about? Here's an example I found from the internet!

The original Chobot character design before it was changed to the current design in 2010 was very different. The eyes and figure of the body was much more round than the current design. This isn't a picture of the actual design, but a drawing based off of it (BONUS because it's Valentines theme!). 

To sum up the contest:

•       Draw a chobots moderator from Chobots.com 
•       Must be related to Valentines Day (Or "Singles Awareness Day! Be creative!)
•       Or Draw a Chobot with the old 2009 design 
•       Drawing must be appropriate
•       DUE: February 28th. Winners will receive citizenship, paintbrush, and a rare item.

Now last but not least, there is going to be a very special event held this month. I'm hosting a romantic dinner party at MY house! Here's the greeting card:

February 18th is a Saturday.

You must receive an in-game invite from me, or anyone else at my house. The restaurant is on the second floor of my home. I hope you all can make it. PLEASE do NOT forget to dress formally, otherwise, our servers will not serve you. Don't have a decent dress or tux in your wardrobe? Not a problem! The shops were updated with formal wear clothing. Check them out. There's even some never-seen-before items in there as well. I can't wait to see how this will turn out. Best dressed will get an honorable mention on the blog. For this occasion, you ARE allowed to bring a date. Keep the language appropriate and just have fun! We will move to the Cafe half way through to celebrate as an after-dinner celebration. The theme will change to a "club" theme, but keep wearing your fancy dresses and tuxes! At the Cafe there will be drinks, music, rain, and plenty of magic!
