The Chotopia Trailer Video contest has come to an end and it is time to announce our winner. Once again, we sadly did not receive a lot of entries, so we were limited to selecting only one.

But anyways, without further ado, lets watch this video!

Congratulations to Becookie! I really liked how you talked about all the things you could do on Chotopia and even got a few snippets of the recent party!

Garbage Collector Competition

Greetings!

Fall has commenced for most of you and I hope everybody is enjoying every single moment of it.
To welcome the arrival of a new season, we have decided to hold a clean up!








Head over to the Garbage Collector location to destroy some rubbish - and possibly earn yourselves some sweet prizes if you place first, second or third.

Party Recap, Cho-Racer Results

Hi friends!

Rain and I had so much fun hosting the party yesterday and we wanted to share some pictures that we captured at the party. Take a look!

In other news, the Cho-Racer competition has come to a close and it's time to announce the results! Lets take a look at the scoreboard, shall we?

Chotopia Trailer Contest, Age Zero Party

Hi friends!

Happy Autumn!

We love welcoming new users to our game, but we need your help in telling people what Chotopia is all about! For you to enter in this contest, you will need to create a trailer video for Chotopia and upload it on YouTube.

Here are some other rules and guidelines that you will need to know for this contest:

•      The trailer video must be at least ​30 seconds​ but no longer than four minutes
•      You must give your username either in the video or when you submit your entry
•      You may only submit one entry
•      If you use a song/tune, you must give credits to whomever produced the music or audio
•      The trailer video must be yours; plagiarizing is not tolerated
•      The video may be in any language, as long as it follows all other rules
•      If you have made a Chotopia trailer video at any time (not for any other previous server) before, you may submit that video as your entry
•      The video must be uploaded onto YouTube​ and submitted on this post; if posted elsewhere, it will not be judged
•      All content must be appropriate

Software tips to use for making your video: Camstudio, Bandicam, Broadcaster Software​, Windows 10 Game Bar​, ShadowPlay

You have until September 30th to create and submit your trailer video, giving you the rest of this month to film your entry. Winners will be picked based on information, creativity, special effects, and effort, and will also receive some awesome rewards. Good luck!

Oh, and before I forget! Do you remember the very first day you registered on Chotopia? Lets all go back to the first day and pretend as if we were new! This Saturday, on September 24th, we will be having an age zero party! Please take this invitation for more details:

4pm EST, 1pm PST

All you will need to do is dress up as if you had just entered the world that we all know as "Chotopia" for the first time. You could wear either no clothes or some of the clothes you would find automatically in your wardrobe when you first join (simple clothes). There will be magic, music, rain, and a quiz, so make sure you attend!

Cho-Racer Competition

Hi friends!

Get ready and start up your car because it's time to race to be the best (or one of the top three) in the Cho-Racer competition.

The objective of the game is to race to the end before you run out of time, but there are many nichos on the road causing traffic. Use your computer arrow keys to control your car and try to get as many power ups to help you succeed in winning and moving on to the next level!

You have until September 25th to enter this contest and win some nice prizes.

Asteroid Competition Results

Pet Contest Results

Hi friends!

The Pet Contest, after being extended for a few more days, has concluded and it is now time to announce our best pet owner and his/her story. But before we get to see the winning entry though, there is something I'd like to discuss about.

Admittedly, we were expecting to have a few more entries in this contest (especially because of the fact that we gave everyone four extra days to enter), yet we were left a little disappointed as only two users submitted an entry. I really hope in the next upcoming contest, more of you will participate. These contests are not for our enjoyment, but for yours. We understand that many of you, including ourselves, have been caught up in school or other activities, but we also see more than just two users who have time on their hands to make something that only would have taken 5-10 minutes. As community leader and manager, it's always my main goal to make sure that your voices are heard, making priorities, events, and contests centered around the majority's interests, and it's extremely frustrating to see you all, the community, asking for things but then not doing much at all when given the opportunity that you wanted.

Everything we do on this game is for you, whether it be from designing new items and locations to taking the time out of our day to develop new features and entertain you all, so please try to participate.

Asteroid Competition

Hi friends,

Hop into your spaceships because an Asteroid Competition is about to commence! You will need to fly to the arcade at the Gamezone, where your mission will embark:

To beat the game, all you need to do is shoot down as many asteroids as you can before they hit you! You have time until September 17th to do your best. The top three to rank will of course be gifted.

Pet Contest

Hi friends!

We love our pets on Chotopia very much, as we enjoy playing with them, feeding them all sorts of foods, and watching them sleep, and so I am very excited to announce a brand new contest: a pet contest!

It's very simple for anyone to enter in this contest; all we want you to do is take a picture with your pet and write a short story about your pet's name and your friendship with your pet (use your imagination to make up a story).

If you plan to enter this contest, please make sure you read the rules and guidelines before you begin:

•      Some other things you could include in your narrative story could be the first day you got your pet, any adventures you had with your pet, what your pet loves to do, etc.
•      You must have a picture of you with your pet
•      You may only submit one entry
•      Your short story must have a min. of 75 words, max. of 150 words
•      The short story must be yours (please don't steal other's ideas either!); plagiarizing is not tolerated
•      You must provide your short story with your picture on an imgur link
•      All entries must be submitted in the comments on this post; if posted elsewhere, it will not be judged
•      All content must be appropriate

I have done an example myself to give you a general idea of what your entry could look like:

Shop Refresh: Autumn Edition

Hi friends!

The weather on Chotopia has started to cool down as we are starting to enter into Autumn — the season of colorful leaves and warm apple cider (and don't forget the pumpkin pie!). Not only has the weather changed, but the shops too!

We have just refreshed the catalogs with both new and old items to help keep you warm as we prepare for the approaching, chilly days. You also may notice that many items have been removed, all which were nice and comfortable for summer wear.

Here are some chobots modeling some new items that are now in-store:

Awesome, right? Be sure you drop by the Shop Square and make some purchases to get in with the Autumn trend!

Nicho's Results, Rope Competition

Have you noticed how safe Chotopia has been recently? Well, that's because you all did such an amazing job at the nicho's competition! Thank you to everyone who participated in this contest, helping rescue Gune from those mean nichos. Lets take a glance at the scoreboard and see who our top rescuers were:

Back to School Comic Results

Hi friends,

We are now concluding the Back to School Comic contest, and so it is time to announce the results. We received a maximum of only two entries, which was not quite expected from our pool of extremely talented players. Both entries were still outstanding, but unfortunately a winner had to be chosen:
