Nichos Party

Hi friends!

Our Chotopia spies have recently spotted suspicious activity near the Mission Agency and we need your help to defeat those sneaky Nichos this evening! Come and invite all of your friends to help rescue Gune from Nichos Kingdom Mission.

5pm EST, 2pm PST

For you to join the rescue mission, you will need to purchase a few items at the shops like a lightbulb hat, some form of speed magic, and some form of invisibility magic so you can sneak by those evil nichos. There will be rain, magic, music, and more fun, so make sure you attend!

Chess Results, Mechanical Crab Competition

Hi friends!

Remember the chess competition that was started some time ago? Well, you won't believe how close the results were! Lets take a glance at the scoreboard and see how much tension there was between the top three competitors.

•     1st place: 7 days of citizenship, 5,000 bugs
•     2nd place: 5 days of citizenship, 3,500 bugs
•     3rd place: 3 days of citizenship, 2,000 bugs

Congratulations to Jesse, Plinfalie, and Muro, who managed to skillfully move their pieces to protect their kings and accumulated an impressive amount of points. Thank you everyone for participating and don't worry though if you didn't win this time because the Mechanical Crab competition has started today!

Head on over to the Gamezone located on the right of the Café Street and play a game of one on one soccer! You have until July 16th to place yourself in the top three on the scoreboard.

Independence Day Research Results

About a week ago, we had announced a research contest on the topic of Independence Day to help educate our fellow chobots who didn't know what was so special about this holiday for Americans. The contest has come to a finish, and it is now time to announce our best entries and their winners!

Garbage Collector Results, Chess Competition, Forum Legends

Hi friends!

There are quite a few announcements to make, so lets quickly get to it! Firstly, our Garbage Collector Competition had ended yesterday, and it's time to announce our winners! Thank you to everyone for helping us protect Chotopia from hitting any floating junk in space, but only our top three shooters can receive these rewards:

    1st place: 7 days of citizenship, 5,000 bugs

    2nd place: 5 days of citizenship, 3,500 bugs

    3rd place: 3 days of citizenship, 2,000 bugs

Congratulations to our top three winners – Plinfalie, Melon, and Fadifa – who accumulated an impressive amount of points. If you didn't win this time, don't worry because it's time for our second announcement: a chess competition!

Challenge your friends to a game of chess and try to get the most amount of points on the scoreboard. The top skillful competitors will receive some pretty awesome prizes! You have up until July 9th to enter into the competition. Good luck!

Finally, our last announcement is Forum Legends. We have never clarified what Forum legends are, what they do, and how to be one, so listen up if you ever would like to make an effort to be one!

Firstly, incase you are unaware of the Forum, the forum's main purpose is to allow us, the staff, to hear opinions from different perspectives. The forum provides many important functions such as filling the gap between the community and staff by allowing users to express their ideas and suggestions, helping build friendships with general discussions both related to the game and off-topic, and providing another way to help assist users through direct message. Our main goal in anything is to make sure that you all are happy and entertained, and the forum helps us with that by allowing us to understand and hold the same interest as you all!

Moving forward to what the big question is: What are Forum Legends? Forum legends are chobot users who are very active on the forums, provide helpful posts (it's not about how many posts you make, but the quality/content!), and have contributed very much to both the community and staff. These role models always bring in new things to discuss, follow the rules, and bring in a lot of talent and spirit.

We have already chosen some Forum legends a while ago, but it's time to add some more people to the list of Forum legends! If you see any of these users in-game, be sure to congratulate them!

Congratulations, and thank you for your contributions! As of now, forum legends only get a cool badge at the left-bottom corner of their player card, but we are looking into having more features in the near future! 

Of course, we are always on the look out for more Forum legends, so if you'd like to try and aim to become one, I highly suggest you go for it! Being a Forum legend will help boost your chances with agency and you can earn more respect among your peers and from the staff. If you haven't even signed up on the forum yet, you better get going because you're missing out on all the discussion!

Party Recap, July Journalists

Hi friends!

We were so excited before to announce the Independence Day, hoping to have a good number of you attend, and it was a huge success (we had over 50+ users online for the party)! We had carefully planned out this event, having a fashion show and quiz all at once with an on-going party, but it couldn't have been as fun and exciting without you all! Like I said, we also had our fashion contest throughout the whole event, where you had to dress up in American or Canadian colors, and as we promised, we would announce our winners and outfits here!

Congratulations Sansa, KellyByee, Lyon, and Katara! You four have received two days of citizenship and 5,000 bugs. Again, thank you all so much for your participation; we all had a blast! The decorations at the park will be hanging for the rest of the weekend!

Independence Day Research Contest + Party

Hi friends!

Around this time of the year, many of us celebrate one or both of two special holidays, but do you know which ones? You've never heard of Independence Day in the United States or Canada? Well, you're just in luck then! Starting today, we will be hosting an Independence Day Research Contest!

Here are the rules and guidelines that you will need to know for this contest:

•      Research and tell us a brief summary about Independence Day (you can either write about it celebrated in America and/or Canada).
•      Some things we would like to learn from you (but not necessarily) are how it came to be, when did it start, who are some important people, where did this holiday first take place, how did it change, why/how it is celebrated today, etc..
•      Some extra add-ins such as fun facts, eye-catching pictures, detailed notes, and over exceeding creativity/neatness will help boost your chance in being selected as a winner.
•      You may only submit up to two entries (make sure to include your name!)
•      You must use this template — any entry not using this format will not be judged.
•      You must enter your submission in the comment section of this post, not elsewhere. Please only provide an imgur link!
•      Please make sure you include factual content from liable websites (this is an informative contest!)

The Independence Day Research Contest ends on July 7th, when we will begin to review all entries and pick our top three winners!

The park will be specifically decorated for this event, and there will be lots of magic, rain, and music! There will also be a fashion contest between who wore the most patriotic colors for either America or Canada, so we highly suggest you dress in red and white (and blue, for America). The winners to the fashion contest will be rewarded and will also be featured on the main blog in the party recap post!
