Also, as always promised I have a new contest for you. It's gonna start on Monday, the 2nd of March until Sunday, the 8th. As y'all loved our Game Nights we'll be having this now as a one week contest! Every game at Gamezone is gonna be open for you and you're able to show us your skills! But don't forget: we'll have only one winner in each game and no double winners. So if you're in the first place of two games somebody else is gonna win even when he's on the second place.

So wie immer versprochen gibt es einen neuen Wettbewerb für Dich. Es fängt am Montag an, den 02. März bis zum 08. März! Da ihr alle die Game Night von uns liebt, haben wir uns dazu entschieden, dass wir es diesmal als einen wöchentlichen Wettbewerb aufleben lassen! As you know some of you are really talented to create some Chotopia Music Videos! I would like to invite you to a contest for that. I'll start from the 24th of February until the 08th of March. You can do whatever you want, but it should be at least 60 seconds long. Of course, you have to look if your song has some bad words in it or has a bad topic. You have the chance to win our much in demand camera! What are you waiting for? Take your Screen Recorder out and try your luck! Here are some great examples from Mike!
So wie wir wissen, sind einige von euch sehr talentiert in der Videobearbeitung. Ich würde euch gerne zu einem Wettbewerb herausfordern. Es fängt heute bis zum 08. März an. Also, we're having a great event on Friday the 28th at 8 PM Cho Time! One of our Agents are gonna host the most requested Event ever: Sliders! MAJOR UPDATES!

Hi everyone!

Recently we referred to major updates coming to Chotopia , and they are being brought in as we speak (or, type). A few updates have rolled through, with more to be added in the coming weeks and months. Let's take a look!

Citizenship

• We have updated the Citizenship packages to include a new pack (6 months) and increased the rewards you receive in each pack. 
• New items will be offered with the packs each month, each very unique and rare! 
• We are currently planning on adding more items to the 3 and 6 month packs, e.g. a playercard or chat bubble with the 6 month pack. 

Stay tuned, Citizenship is about to be transferred! 

• Below is a screenshot of the current packs on offer for February 2020. 

$hop

• We are in the process of updating the $hop, with brand new items and promotions. 
• Currently, we have added some rare (previously Staff-only) items to the $hop, such as the coloured winter scarf or the Niceplayer hoodie.

Make sure to benefit from the unique items, before the $hop is refreshed again! 

New $hop Feature

We also added a new, never before seen feature to the $hop.

• For $15, you can request to purchase any item in the game. "Any item?", you may ask. Yes, any item! 
• You may choose any item within our files, be it a regular item, a Staff item, or even a prize item, and we will send it to you. You can let your mind wander and finally have that one item you've always wanted. 
• There are no limits!

NOTE: The $hop refresh is still on-going, with new items being added frequently. We are adding some awesome new chat bubbles and playercards once exclusive to Staff. Don't miss it! Feel free to suggest potential $hop items to us too, you may get lucky!

Website Changes

We are currently working on updating the entire website, the look and the blog. As previously mentioned, let us know if there are any ideas you have to suggest regarding features, themes, etc. Recommendations are always welcome!

More updates will be coming shortly. Remain alert!

Return of the Journalist Program

Hi, everyone!

Before I begin this post, I want to announce that there is a Valentine's Day party on Chotopia TODAY (12th) at 8 PM Cho-time! Make sure to twin up with someone or partake in the themed quiz for the chance to win a prize!

After a long break from the Journalist Program, the Staff team were considering starting it back up as our community grows. Following a 2 week poll, the community has spoken! Based on majority vote, we are happy to confirm that the Journalist Program is back! 

You may be confused about what this means. Don't worry, we got you!

To quality for Journalism, you will need to follow the guidelines listed below:

    Your blog must be updated a minimum of 2 times every 2 weeks (1 weekly post). 

     Your posts must be written by yourself, not taken directly from the Official Chotopia Blog or anyone else's Chotopia blog(s).

     You have permission to use Chotopia Blog's pictures regarding events, recaps, and contests, but we encourage you to get creative and use your own work. This will make your blog even more distinctive, unique and interesting.

     The blog MUST relate to Chotopia. 

At this point you may be wondering, what are the benefits of Journalism? Let us lay it out for you:

•     An updated Journalist Badge on your playercard
•      Become an Elite Journalist by being a Journalist for a minimum of 3 consecutive months. The period of consecutive journalism will be 3-5 months, depending on the standard of your blog.
•     There will only be 1 Elite Journalist.
•      An exclusive Journalist-only Playercard
•      A Purple Journalist name tag
•      A Journalist feather hand-item
•      One week of free citizenship at the beginning of each month
•      The ability to PC Moderators even if they are blocked
•      Your blog will be listed on the Official Chotopia Blog
•      You will be invited to write one Official Blog Post 
•      The ability to have your own contests on your blog with their own prizes!

The Journalist team will be updated monthly, although if you are a consistent blogger and your blog is within the guidelines, your Journalism will remain with you. This means we will be choosing some new Journalists here and there, although providing you fit the criteria, you will keep your journalism. Journalists will NOT be rotated out monthly, unless necessary.

You have 2 weeks from February 12th to February 26th to submit your blogs. You may do this via the comment section in this post or Discord. We will then evaluate your blogs and announce the journalists at the beginning of March. Get blogging!

Hey Chotopians!

For this post, the german translation is on request, because in English it's quite long.
Our Week of Love has started and we're having many things to tell you. First of all: Don't forget our Poetry Contest which is about to end on the 13rd of February. :)

Who's gonna start a career as a basketball player? o: 

Like every week we have a new contest for you: this one is gonna be Palm Tree! So, grab a ball and give our trees some more color! :) It's gonna end on the 16th of February. Our Board is at Eco & Home Shop Square.







We all love to Party - so I have great news. (: We're hosting a cute Valentine's Party! Don't wait too long: Ask your favorite Chotopian if he wants to be your date for this Party and dress up cute! The best well-dressed Couple is gonna win something really nice. This time our Party is gonna be on Wednesday, the 12th of February at Shop Square 8 PM Cho-Time.

I'm not done yet for this time. We want to express our love to you by another contest this time! Your latest drawings at the Wall were so cute, that you're able to enter your drawings now from today to the 16th! It should be Valentines and Chotopia related. For sure you can draw something at paper and enter this. :) As Imgur File in the comment section or via Discord "Submissions-for-contests"

Last but not least: A little Recap from our Hide & Seek Event! :) It was so so so fun to play with y'all! You literally had the best hide-outs. Tell them nobody cause they're one's weight in gold. After that, we were at Rope Street and enjoyed our contest there. :)

Creativity and Music!

Hey Chotopians,

thanks for this amazing Party and the lovely drawings! I'm really happy about your participation. Chotopia is already completely in Valentine's mood and Chopix as well! Did you see his statue in Park with a rose in his mouth? He loves his environment so much like us. What about a lovely Poetry Contest ?
Ein großes Dankeschön für die Party und die liebevollen Zeichnungen! Ich bin wirklich glücklich über eure Teilnahme. Chotopia is komplett in Valentinstagsstimmung und Chopix ebenfalls! Habt ihr seine Statue mit der Rose im Mund gesehen? Er liebt seine Umgebung wie wir. Wie wäre es mit einem Gedichts-Wettbewerb?

Here are some guidelines: 

•     No Plagiarising: Your work must be written by you only.
•     Your poem can be of any type as long as it is longer than four lines and no longer than sixteen
•      It must be Chotopia-themed. That is the only theme we ask
•      You may submit your poem through Discord or the comment section 

Hier sind ein paar Richtlinien: Kein Kopieren: Es muss dein eigenes Werk sein. Dein Gedicht sollte mind. 4 Zeilen lang und max. 16 Zeilen lang sein. Es muss Chotopia thematisiert sein und du solltest es entweder hier kommentieren oder über Discord uns schicken. 

Also, I would like to show you our Walldrawing Contest Winner! Congratulations to Puzzle10! She drew a cute couple on the sea of love. It reminds me a lot about the movie "Tangled", hehe. Amazing work! You win 5 days of citizenship, 7.500 bugs and a Jas-Shirt in a selectable color ! :)

January's Most Active Chotopian

Hey Cho's,

Today we're going to be acknowledging the most active Chotopian of January. We'd like to thank Nightfury0 for spending 70 hours on Chotopia last month! Your loyalty and activity has not gone unnoticed by the Chotopia team and for this, we'd like to award you with $2.50 in the Chotopia Market and a unique shirt. Be sure to check your messages for your surprise!

That being said, this does mean that we are going to be keeping an eye out for who our most active player is throughout the months and they will be rewarded with gifts handpicked by the Chotopia team as our way of showing gratitude.

Moving on, we're going to be opening up the board for a Tug o' War contest! Starting today, February 1st until February 9th, you and your friends can prove who the strongest Chotopian is by battling it out at Rope Street.
