Christmas Party Recap, New Moderator and Agent, Contests

Hey, everyone!

It's New Year Eve tomorrow! How exciting?! Before I get into this post, I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year on behalf of the Chotopia Team. Now, let's get into the post.

We will be transitioning from 2018 to 2019 with two in-game contests! These contests will be Sliders and Asteroid. As always, they will be one week long each, lasting from Sunday 30th of December to Sunday the 6th of January. Head on over to Academy Street to compete in Sliders against fellow Chobots, or if you prefer something you can play by yourself, head on over to the Gamezone to compete in Asteroid! Good luck, everyone!

This past week we held the Christmas Party, and it was a blast! Thank you all for coming! Here is a recap:

I want to say thank you to Deskut, Vinyl, Nicole and Bmx311 for sending me screenshots of the party. It is very appreciated!

At the party, we held a Christmas-themed quiz, and the scores were very close! Make sure to say congratulations to Trophy for winning first place, and to William and Vinyl for winning second place! Thank you all for taking part in the quiz. You did great!

Trophy will receive 5 days of citizenship.

William and Vinyl will receive 3 days of citizenship.

Winter Update and New Features

Hey, everyone!

Christmas is quickly approaching and we are far into winter now. Are you excited for Christmas and the upcoming year? We hope 2018 has been a blast and wish you all the best for 2019.

Map Update
This season means a big update to the game in terms of map updates, quests, clothes refreshes and more. We have already ticked off most of the things on that list but there is one last thing left: map update! We have released the winter map update, which features snowy locations and the winter park.

NEW: Snow Animation
We implemented a new, small feature that can be seen when you have night-mode on (turning off night-mode disables it). It is now snowing in-game! It may be hard to see it when your brightness is high. The particles are minimized to reduce lag, too. If lag continues, just disable night-mode and it will also turn off the snow!

Santa's Goodies

Similar to last year, the snowman with Santa's Goodies has returned! Go check him out for some extra winter items. He will be waiting for you in Cafe Street!

NEW: Outfit Save Feature

We have added a new feature to the game that allows you to save your outfits and instantly put them back on whenever you insist. You may save as many outfits as you want and switch your outfits whenever you wish. It can be found at the top of your screen, beside your cho-levels. 

REMEMBER! Chotopia Christmas Party is happening tomorrow (Saturday) at 9 PM Cho-time. Don't miss it! Our CMV contest is still running, too.

Checkers & Cow Mission Results, Rope Contest, Christmas Party

Hi, Chos!

Before I get into this post, I would like to apologise for the delay in giving out prizes and starting up a new weekly contest. We have all been very busy! Nevertheless, I have the weekly contests and winners of the previous contests to announce. That's not all, though! In this post, I will also be announcing the Christmas party - so stay tuned!

For the past week, we held two contests: one you can participate in by yourself, and one in which you play against fellow Chobots. Let's take a look at the winners!

For Cow Mission, the winners are as follows:

1st place: Bmx311 

You will receive 7 days of citizenship, 10,000 bugs and a gold medal.

2nd place: Spook

You will receive 5 days of citizenship, 7,500 bugs and a silver medal.

3rd place: Chance

You will receive 3 days of citizenship, 5,000 bugs and a bronze medal.

For Checkers, the winners are as follows:

1st place: Mcmanus

You will receive 7 days of citizenship, 10,000 bugs and a gold medal.

You will receive 3 days of citizenship, 5,000 bugs and a bronze medal.

Sweet Battle Contest Results, Checkers Contest, Cow Mission Contest, Game Night

Hey, everyone!

It is officially over a week into December. The time is flying by! Our Chotopia Christmas party is just around the corner now but, it's not quite time for it yet! Instead, we are hosting a Game Night this weekend. Join us on Friday, the 14th of December at 9 PM Cho-time in the Gamezone for a fun night of games and magic!

In other news, the Sweet Battle contest has come to an end! After a long week of battling your friends and fellow chobots, the winners are in!

Space Racing Contest Results, Sweet Battle Contest, CMV Contest, Clothes Refresh

Happy December! Christmas is just around the corner now! December also means winter is coming, and already came for many of us. This means a large shop refresh and a winter/Christmas themed contest will be announced later in this post.

As you may know, our weekly contest for the past week was Space Racing. After a week of racing with your friends, the results are in! Here are the winners:

• In 1st place we have Addey. You will receive 7 days of citizenship, 10,000 bugs and a gold medal.
• In 2nd place we have Vinyl. You will receive 5 days of citizenship, 7,500 bugs and a silver medal.
• In 3rd place we have Novo. You will receive 3 days of citizenship, 5,000 bugs and a bronze medal.

Next up we are holding a Sweet Battle contest. This contest will last from Sunday, the 2nd of December to Sunday, the 9th of December! Good luck, everyone. Get battling!

Previously I mentioned a winter/Christmas themed contest that we are holding. As we got through the other contest details, it is time to announce it!

We asked you, our community, if you would like to see a CMV contest and many of you said "yes"! Hence, for the next month, we are holding a CMV contest. We are aware that creating high-quality videos takes time and patience, so we are giving you a long time to do it. You have from Sunday, the 2nd of December to Sunday, the 30th of December to create a CMV and submit it to us through the comments or Discord.

As always, there are guidelines!

• Your CMV must be longer than 1 minute and may not exceed 5 minutes. 
• Your CMV must be submitted to us using a YouTube link. 
• Plagiarising will result in disqualification: You must create your own CMV.
• It must be winter/Christmas themed. Get creative!

Before I finish this post, I would like to inform you all that in-game shops have been refreshed. The clothes, advanced and magic shops have all gotten a winter update. Here is an insight into a few of the recently added items. Don't worry, there are many more!
