Garbage Collector Results, Space Racing Competition

Hi friends!

For a little over a week, you all assisted in cleaning up Chotopia's surrounding and atmosphere, and with the combined effort, we were able to protect the environment. Of the users that helped, three stood out among the others that put the most effort of shooting the junk floating around the server. Let's look at the scoreboard to find out who these outstanding individuals are:

• First place: 7 days of citizenship, 5,000 bugs
• Second place: 5 days of citizenship, 4,000 bugs
• Third place: 3 days of citizenship, 3,000 bugs

Congratulations to Aidan, Mizula2000, and Saa47 who managed to accumulate an enormous quantity of points. In case you weren't able to reach the top three this time, have no fear! The Space Racing competition has opened and will be available until May 31st.

So what are you waiting for? Head on over to Space Port Square and race against your friends in spaceships. Collect power ups to help boost your chances of winning the race, but watch out for the red power up - it slows you down!

New Premium Shop

The Pet Party has been rescheduled to May 20th, same time and location. Make sure you spread the word and mark your calendars!

I have some exciting news to share with you all! Our developers, Philip & Shadow, have been working extremely hard on updating the layout of the $hop; however, it's finally here and ready to use! I will now briefly explain how to navigate and/or use the new premium shop...

As soon as you get to the $hop page, it should look something like this:

Your current account balance will show up on the left side, along with your shopping cart and the selection of $hop items. The items, depending on what category you select (bodies, magic, chat bubbles, etc.), will appear on the right side of your screen. You may then scroll down and click through the pages to view all items. 

Items that are color-changeable will be labeled as so, such as these two items:

If interested in purchasing an item, click the button below the item "Learn More". It will then direct you to a page where you can customize the color (if available for the item), see the price of the item, view how many are in stock, and see any reviews listed on the item. When customizing an item, you can either put in a number color code or select a color off the color chart (this time, you can pick a number of shades):

After selecting an item to purchase, that item will be put in your shopping cart, ready to be checked out. You may also, at any time, remove the items in your cart and/or continue shopping. Once you have finalized what you would like to purchase, click on your "Shopping Cart" above the item (or if you're back at the home page, it should be on the left), and it will bring up what is in your cart and the total cost:

If you're ready to purchase your item(s), proceed to clicking "Checkout". The item(s) will then be bought based on your current account balance. 

You can always add funds to your account through purchase, by contests, or exchanging candies. Of course, you still will need to log into your account in order to view and purchase a $hop item.

So head on over to the updated $hop, and check out what items you'd like to purchase today!

We love our pets on Chotopia very much, as we enjoy playing with them, feeding them all sorts of foods, and watching them sleep, so I am very excited to announce a Pet Party next Saturday! Please accept this invitation to find out party details:

5 pm EST, 2 pm PST

Bring your pet along to the party (you can take your pet out of your home by clicking on the option "Take your pet out on a stroll"), or if you haven't adopted a pet, head on to the Pet Shop and adopt one! Users with the cutest or most interesting pet (this can include appearance, name, etc.) will receive a small gift, so make sure you and your pet are dressed up for the party!

Invitation Contest, Game Night

Hi friends!

It's a new month, and that also means a brand-new contest! We all love playing Chotopia, but what makes this game so enjoyable is the community and the friends that we make while we are here. In this month-lasting event, you guys will be inviting your friends to join and play Chotopia!

Here are the rules and guidelines on how to enter:

Ask your friends to sign up for free on Chotopia! Tell them about what makes you love to play, and show them around the game.

He or she must be activated to be counted as an invitation

Each invited person must have a game-play time of at least 7 hours (your friend will need to be active within this contest, which is about a month)

These invitations are for your friends; family members/relatives will not be accounted for

The invited user(s) must be registered during this contest. If registered before or after the contest end date, it does not count

If you play other games or discuss on other forums, feel free to advertise and ask people to join Chotopia; however, please be respectful of their guidelines (ex: if they don't allow advertising of other games, then abide by those rules)

By the end of this month, you will submit a comment listing all of your invited friends' names

Make sure to also include your name clearly so we know who's entry it is

All invited names on every entry will be checked; don't cheat! That includes using family members, making your own new accounts, or making new accounts for someone else. If found cheating, you will be automatically disqualified

Winners will be chosen based off the quantity of valid, invited users 

As stated above, this contest is more of an event, and it will last throughout the month of May. June 1st will be the last day to submit a comment of your invitations. Best of luck!

On another note, upcoming, we are hosting a Saturday Game Night!

For those who are unaware of what "Game Night" is, let me break it down for you. For one hour of the event, all scoreboards in the Gamezone will be open (no other game outside the Gamezone will be open for contest). During this hour, users can enter and compete against other players to place first, while others less competitive stick around to watch the race of users trying to place first in a game (typically, there is a party; however, this time, it is only games). Once the hour is over, the users who only place first place in any of the games will receive some awesome winnings!

So don't miss out on this fun and eventful evening, and mark your calendars on May 6th, 9 pm Cho-Time (5 pm EST, 2 pm PST)!
