Our recent sweet battle contest has come to an end, and the results are as follows:

Secret Santa!

Hey everyone,

As you may have seen in a previous post regarding updates, we have implemented a Secret Santa feature. This feature allows you to give a gift to a player and receive a gift. To join Secret Santa simply click on the Secret Santa button, found below the BRB button.

Once you click this button you will be taken to the Secret Santa catalog, here you will be asked to chose and pay for one of the following options:

Type 1: 10,000 bugs

Type 2: 25,000 bugs

Type 3: 50,000 bugs

Here's how Secret Santa will work:
You will automatically be partnered with a Chotopia user who has also submitted a present box. You will be partnered with someone who chose the same type of present box as you. You and your Secret Santa partner will be chosen based on the price you spent, in order to keep the system fair. The gift box will be found in your wardrobe, which you then submit into the Secret Santa Event box. The gift box will leave your wardrobe. You will be taken to a website where you will submit your box. You will automatically be partnered with a random Chotopia user who has also submitted a present box. Each box will generate a random item for the user you're partnered with. You will only be partnered with users who have the same item type.

Gifts will be distributed on December 25th. We wish you a very merry Countdown to Christmas!

As we are almost half way through December, it means we are nearing Christmas! Christmas is a time of giving, and the Staff team and I are here to give back to active players.

Chotopia Council

Hey everyone,

As part of the recent updates, we have mentioned the Chotopia Council. That is right, we are looking for active players to join a team of members who will be helping with decision making within the community and giving us ideas as of what the community wants to see.

Councilors will be chosen under the following titles:

• (1) Junior Councilor
• (1) Citizen Councilor
• (1) Agent Councilor

These players will be on the team alongside Moderators. As we have recently also opened our Journalist Program again, in a few weeks we will be looking for an additional Journalist Councilor to join the team. 

To choose councilors, we will be opening applications. These applications will be for the titles mentioned above in which you may state what experience you have in helping within communities such as past agent/staff experience on any of the previous Chobots games (remember: you do not have to have this experience in order to have a chance to be chosen for our council, it is just an example of something that you may add to your application. A summary of why you would make a great addition is also just as valid!).

After carefully analysing applications sent in, we will choose 3 members (for now) to help the community. You will have approx. 2 weeks to apply. 

Applications will be opening shortly! Keep an eye out on the main page of Chotopia in order to find out when they are opening.

To anyone willing to apply, we wish you good luck! We are looking forward to seeing who will be on our Chotopia Council.

Hey everyone,

Happy December! We have decided to bring back the Journalist Program. We are looking for you to choose as the next month's upcoming journalists.

In order to become a journalist, your blog must follow the requirements below:

• Your blog must be a month old and updated frequently. You must be active.
• Your posts must be written by yourself, not taken directly from the Official Chotopia Blog or anyone else's Chotopia blog(s).
• You have permission to use Chotopia blog's pictures regarding events and recaps but we encourage you to get creative and create your own.
• It must be related to Chotopia; parties, events, competitions, updates, etc.

As a journalist, here is a list of what you would be rewarded:

• A journalist playcard.
• A journalist nametag (purple).
• A journalist feather.
• Your blog featured on the Official Chotopia Blog.
• A journalist badge.

Updates, updates, updates!

Hey everyone,

Recently, there have been many updates added to the game, the following is a summary of them!

• General bug fixes

Many bugs, such as a wrong chat bubble being shown to other players, home layers bug, cafe street lagging, issues with disconnections and trading issues, have been fixed. Additionally, you can now suggest your own suggestions/bug findings in the My Account page, therefore you can all now add your suggestions and we will consider them, alongside reporting bugs for the Staff team to look into and fix. 

• Changes to home

Your home will now stay as a citizen home after your citizenship has expired. 

You can now, by using the "visit users' home" button, visit your friends' Chobots homes! This button can be found on playercards. By un-ticking the "accept all incoming messages" button, you are denying access of users to visit your home. 

• Citizenship changes

Chotopia Citizenship prices will be decreased: 

• 1 month will change from $6.99 to $4.99. 
• 3 months will change from $18.99 to $14.99. 
• 6 month will change from $29.99 to $24.99.
• 12 month package will be returning for $45.99. 

Each package will have more bugs & bonuses!

• Secret Santa

Secret Santa is here! The Staff team have put together their ideas to create this fun, new activity. During the month of December, you will be able to enter a gift for Secret Santa by placing it in the box found in your wardrobe, as shown in the image below. More details and information will be given mid December!

• Chotopia Council

Chotopia Council is here! We will be looking for suitable council members within the community to help bring new, fresh ideas to Chotopia!

• Other general updates
• Choproff questions are back to the original questions.
• Age limit for trade will be increased.
• Graphity wall lines before it starts to fade has been decreased.
• Users can now sell unwanted magic from their backpacks, alongside backgrounds. Do not sell one that you are wearing!

• Candy top-up exchange increased from 1,500 to 5,000.
• Winter is here.

Designing Competition Results, Comic Competition

The designing competition has just come to an end! The Staff team and I have reviewed each entry and we have chosen the winner(s) upon discussion. They are as follows:

• Must be created on the comic template given below.
• Must be appropriate: Use of inappropriate language/behaviour within the comic will result in the comment being removed and the player disqualified.
• Must be related to a winter day: what have you done/do in the winter months? Make it as creative as you can!
• Each entry must be submitted in the comments section.

As it's Thanksgiving today and we have a large American player base the staff team and I have decided to host a Thanksgiving themed party this weekend!

Robofactory Results, Nichos' Kingdom Mission Competition, Designing Competition

The Robofactory competition has come to an end, and here are the winners!

To compete in this competition fairly, we ask you to follow the following guidelines:

• No plagiarising: Using designs made over a year ago by other users will not be accepted. You are free to enter your designs as long as they were made during the past year.
• Keep it appropriate: We ask you to not design anything that is not family-friendly or inappropriate in any way.
• Submit your design on the designing template given and make sure to include all angels of the design.
• Submit your entry in the comments section using a link to your design.
• Keep your design winter/Christmas themed.

Agents' Meeting, Halloween Party

Hey everyone,

It has been a while since we held our last Agent Meeting, therefore we are asking the Agent Team to join us for an Agent Meeting on the upcoming Saturday 21st. The Staff Team and myself are asking Agents to come to the Agent HQ at 8 PM Cho-Time.

Alongside the Agents' Meeting being held, we are hosting a party! As mentioned above, this will be a Halloween Party and it will be held on the same day at 9 PM Cho-time, after the Agents' meeting. There will be a quiz, rain, music and magic!

Make sure to throw on your best Halloween outfits for a chance to win a prize!
The in-game shop recently got a refresh, alongside the Agent Catalog, so head to the shop to check out the Halloween-themed items and maybe some more will be added throughout the next week.

This party will be held in the Chlos Lab, which you will be able to enter directly from the map or from visiting Alex the Cowboy in Cow Mission via the teleporter.
