NPC Drawing Contest

Hi friends!

One of my favorite things to do on Chotopia is visit our NPCs (non-player chobots) and earn some sweet bugs and rewards for helping them out! But their jobs in the community are a huge help as they protect us from nicho spies, educate us on some cool facts, teach us on how to help people in need, and help pick up trash around Chotopia.

For this contest, we are asking you to draw at least one of these quest figures to help show our appreciation for all they do!

Please read the information below very carefully in order to find out how to participate in this contest:

Guidelines & conditions:

•     You can draw any of the following: Chistochob, Samantha, Choproff, and/or Chopix
•     Your drawing can either be done on paper, on your computer, or on the graffiti walls on Chotopia
•     We highly suggest you add color, details, and other extra features (like a background) to help boost your chances in winning 
•     You must enter your submission in the comment section of this post, not elsewhere. Please only provide an imgur link. 
•     Go wild with your imagination as we will be evaluating your creativity, uniqueness, and effort!
•     You may submit up to only two entries
•     Please do not trace or copy any of the NPCs (we can tell!)

The NPC drawing contest ends on August 6th, when we will begin to review your entries! Winners will be prized generously, and with that being said, we certainly look forward to seeing what our talented community creates!

Vacation Postcard Contest Results

Hi friends!

I hope you all had a wonderful vacation and have now traveled back safely home from your trip because it is now time to give out the prizes to the winners of the Vacation Postcard Contest! I was very shocked to see how far you all traveled — from a room in your house to outer space — but I was also a little disappointed that none of you invited me along!

Sweet Battle Results, Cho-Board Competition

Hi friends!

After a week of delicious sweets being thrown around on Chotopia, it's about time we all calm down from this sugar rush and announce our top three winners in the Sweet Battle Competition! Lets take a glance at the scoreboard:

Head on over to the Gamezone and collect as many blue crystals as you can without being hit by scrap metal three times. The game will first start slow, but will gradually get faster along with a harder board to control.

You have until July 31st to place yourself high up on the scoreboard (the top three boarders will receive some cool prizes), so get going!

Party Recap, Postcard Contest

Hi friends!

Hooray! Yesterday we had went on a rescue mission to save Gune from those evil nichos, and with the combined teamwork, we were successful! We then threw an awesome party to celebrate our accomplishments! Here are some spooky pictures from the celebration:

In other news, starting today, we will be holding a Summer Vacation Postcard Contest! Stories are always the best, and we would like to hear you make up or tell a story of where you went this summer for vacation on a postcard.

If you are planning on entering, please take the time to read these guidelines and conditions:

•      Some things you could include in your postcard could be where you went, what you did, who you went with, what you enjoyed/didn't enjoy, a fact you learned, etc.
•      You must add at least one picture showing where you went for vacation (or you could make a back side to your postcard [for example: "Greetings from Alaska!" with a picture of Alaska in the background])
•      You are allowed to submit up to two entries
•      You must address your postcard to at least one staff member (for example: Dear Sylva...)
•      The postcard must be yours (please don't steal other's ideas either!); plagiarizing is not tolerated
•      You must use the template provided and provide it on an imgur link
•      All entries must be submitted in the comments on this post; if posted elsewhere, it will not be judged

Nichos Party

Hi friends!

Our Chotopia spies have recently spotted suspicious activity near the Mission Agency and we need your help to defeat those sneaky Nichos this evening! Come and invite all of your friends to help rescue Gune from Nichos Kingdom Mission.

5pm EST, 2pm PST

For you to join the rescue mission, you will need to purchase a few items at the shops like a lightbulb hat, some form of speed magic, and some form of invisibility magic so you can sneak by those evil nichos. There will be rain, magic, music, and more fun, so make sure you attend!

Garbage Collector Results, Chess Competition, Forum Legends

Hi friends!

There are quite a few announcements to make, so lets quickly get to it! Firstly, our Garbage Collector Competition had ended yesterday, and it's time to announce our winners! Thank you to everyone for helping us protect Chotopia from hitting any floating junk in space, but only our top three shooters can receive these rewards:

Finally, our last announcement is Forum Legends. We have never clarified what Forum legends are, what they do, and how to be one, so listen up if you ever would like to make an effort to be one!

Firstly, incase you are unaware of the Forum, the forum's main purpose is to allow us, the staff, to hear opinions from different perspectives. The forum provides many important functions such as filling the gap between the community and staff by allowing users to express their ideas and suggestions, helping build friendships with general discussions both related to the game and off-topic, and providing another way to help assist users through direct message. Our main goal in anything is to make sure that you all are happy and entertained, and the forum helps us with that by allowing us to understand and hold the same interest as you all!

Moving forward to what the big question is: What are Forum Legends? Forum legends are chobot users who are very active on the forums, provide helpful posts (it's not about how many posts you make, but the quality/content!), and have contributed very much to both the community and staff. These role models always bring in new things to discuss, follow the rules, and bring in a lot of talent and spirit.

We have already chosen some Forum legends a while ago, but it's time to add some more people to the list of Forum legends! If you see any of these users in-game, be sure to congratulate them!

Congratulations, and thank you for your contributions! As of now, forum legends only get a cool badge at the left-bottom corner of their player card, but we are looking into having more features in the near future! 

Of course, we are always on the look out for more Forum legends, so if you'd like to try and aim to become one, I highly suggest you go for it! Being a Forum legend will help boost your chances with agency and you can earn more respect among your peers and from the staff. If you haven't even signed up on the forum yet, you better get going because you're missing out on all the discussion!

Party Recap, July Journalists

Hi friends!

We were so excited before to announce the Independence Day, hoping to have a good number of you attend, and it was a huge success (we had over 50+ users online for the party)! We had carefully planned out this event, having a fashion show and quiz all at once with an on-going party, but it couldn't have been as fun and exciting without you all! Like I said, we also had our fashion contest throughout the whole event, where you had to dress up in American or Canadian colors, and as we promised, we would announce our winners and outfits here!

Independence Day Research Contest + Party

Hi friends!

Around this time of the year, many of us celebrate one or both of two special holidays, but do you know which ones? You've never heard of Independence Day in the United States or Canada? Well, you're just in luck then! Starting today, we will be hosting an Independence Day Research Contest!

Here are the rules and guidelines that you will need to know for this contest:

•      Research and tell us a brief summary about Independence Day (you can either write about it celebrated in America and/or Canada).
•      Some things we would like to learn from you (but not necessarily) are how it came to be, when did it start, who are some important people, where did this holiday first take place, how did it change, why/how it is celebrated today, etc..
•      Some extra add-ins such as fun facts, eye-catching pictures, detailed notes, and over exceeding creativity/neatness will help boost your chance in being selected as a winner.
•      You may only submit up to two entries (make sure to include your name!)
•      You must use this template — any entry not using this format will not be judged.
•      You must enter your submission in the comment section of this post, not elsewhere. Please only provide an imgur link!
•      Please make sure you include factual content from liable websites (this is an informative contest!)
